About Chhattisgarh State Open School:
छत्तीसगढ़ में "सबके लिये शिक्षा" के लक्ष्य की प्राप्ति हेतु वैकल्पिक शिक्षा व्यवस्था की आवश्यकता को ध्यान में रखते हुए छत्तीसगढ़ शासन द्वारा लिए गये निर्णय अनुसार वर्ष 2008 में छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य ओपन स्कूल की स्थापना की गई । वर्तमान में इस संस्था का कार्यालय यूको बैंक के पास, माध्यमिक शिक्षा मण्डल परिसर, पेंशन बाड़ा, रायपुर में स्थित है जहां से संपूर्ण छत्तीसगढ़ स्थित शिक्षा से वंचित वर्ग को कक्षा 10 वीं व कक्षा 12 वीं में प्रवेश देकर व्यक्तिगत संपर्क कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से शिक्षा दी जावेगी । तद्पश्चात वर्ष में दो बार अगस्त - जनवरी एवं फरवरी - जुलाई माह में परीक्षाएं आयोजित की जावेगी । छात्रों को पांच वर्ष के अंतराल में परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने हेतु अधिकतम नौ अवसर प्रदान कर सकता है । छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य ओपन स्कूल की क्रेडिट योजनांतर्गत अन्य मान्यता प्राप्त मण्डलों / अन्य राज्य ओपन स्कूलों के उत्तीर्ण छात्रों को भी परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने की सुविधा है ।
